Hello! My name is Crystal Ford and I am an Outreach Victims Advocate at PAR. Originally from the Appalachian region, I moved to Charleston in 2007 in order to attend the College of Charleston where I received my Master's Degree in Public Administration. I did my undergraduate work at Berea College, KY where I received a B.A. in Speech Communication and Music.I enjoy traveling and studied opera abroad in Europe in 2004.Over the past several years, nonprofit work has become a serious focus in my life.I love working for the public good and have a great desire to help make a difference in the lives of those in need. I am very grateful for having the opportunity to work with the staff at PAR and I hope that I will be able to assist you to the best of my abilities.
More information about me (things that I enjoy):
Playing the piano (I have played, taught and performed “off and on” for the past 23 years); singing (I love singing in choirs because it is less frightening than performing solo); going to church; writing (by the age of 13, I had completed two books of poetry but never attempted to get them published); arts education (I believe that everyone, young or old, should be given the opportunity to explore all genres of the arts); nature (What more can I say!It is just simply beautiful!); photography (Everyone who knows me, knows that a camera is never too far from me at all times); smiling and laughing (It is just a part of who I am)...AND last but not least, there is a very special little guy in my life….he has four paws, whiskers and a tail…my cat, Munster.
