Providing education in our community is a vital service provided by PAR. Staff present numerous informational and educational programs to civic and faith-based groups, schools, colleges, businesses and other community agencies. The requests are continuous and growing throughout the counties PAR serves.
PAR offers education and prevention programs through the tri county area. Our programs are for children and adults and are age appropriate and tailored to specific needs. The importance of bringing about awareness of sexual violence in schools in an age appropriate manner is essential for the safety of young children. Educational presentations offer information on such topics as: sexual assault, sexual harassment, safe, dating, healthy relationships, bullying, gossip and secrets. PAR provides in-service training for professionals whose work brings them in contact with victims of sexual violence and abuse. PAR staff are also available to speak to college groups, community leaders, church groups, human resource departments, military personnel, and community members.
