WANT TO BE A PAR VOLUNTEER?
PAR volunteers provide a crucial service to adult sexual assault victims and their families and friends. Being a PAR volunteer is a great way to dedicate time to an important cause, build your resume and learn valuable skills. We will be holding a new volunteer training from January 23rd -26th on the campus of the College of Charleston, Room 116 of the Education Center at the following times:
Thursday, January 23rd: 6PM – 8:30PM
Friday, January 24th: 6PM – 8:30PM
Saturday, January 25th: 8:30AM – 5PM
Sunday, January 26th: 8:30AM – 5PM
PAR Volunteers must be willing to serve a minimum of 24 volunteer hours per month and make a one year commitment. Volunteers may take up to three months off within that year should they desire.
New volunteer applicants must come in for a brief interview and consent to a SLED background check prior to attending the training, so please apply by January 16th. There is a $25 fee to apply. For more information, contact our Volunteer Coordinator.
